ARDA JOINT VENTURE PROGRAM
The ARDA Joint Venture Programme seeks to partner farmers who have land and irrigation infrastructure but are facing challenges in accessing working capital or do not have the requisite technical crop production knowledge to fully optimize the capacities of their farms. ARDA provides to qualifying farmers, access to finance, tillage equipment, crop-specific technical management skills to ensure productivity levels are optimized. The focus of the programme is on ensuring that we maximize crop production to ensure food self-sufficiency and consequently import substitution for the country. It is part of our rural transformation strategy which seeks to industrialize marginalized communities, promote employment creation which dovetails with the Government’s Devolution Agenda and the subsequent attainment of the goal of an upper middle-income society by 2030.
